Not all of us are musicians... but all of us are dancers...

The musician listens to the silence... and out of nothing hears something... and if the musician is able to remain quiet enough... the music plays through them... without interference...

The dancer hears the music... and like a puppet is guided... and if the dancer can remain still enough... the music becomes them.

Objective

Enabling individuals to experience euphoria through music and dance.

Principle

The most basic human response to music is movement and all animals sharing our audio spectrum respond to music physically. Music touches all human beings at their most primal level... music is the bridge, the meeting point between the scientifically analysed physical world and the emotional/spiritual dimension that human's are still seeking to apprehend/comprehend.

Methodology

No two physical bodies are alike, therefore any idea of choreography or "standardised" dance moves are fundamentally opposed to an understanding of the human body... what's more, "attempting" to execute somebody else's dance moves is likely to result in injury because we attempt to operate our body outside of what is comfortable and what we are capable of.

As such, the technique employed is simply to create an environment where dancers feel absolutely comfortable to respond to music in whatever way they wish...

Environment

Low light levels enable people to turn inwards and concentrate on their own movement. Projections and artistic lighting enable the dancer's attention to be placed on something outside of themselves.

Summary

Sound is the meeting point between matter and spirit.

"musiciam" describes letting go until "you"... are no longer there...

"musiciam" describes becoming the music.

The music comes first, not you or I...

First music... then us...

music...i am.

Music is infinite but the "I" is limited. As far as this physical body is concerned, we are limited in time and space, but the deeper self, the macrocosmic knows no bounds.

Music and dance must be experienced, not talked about. They cannot be taught, only felt.

There are no rules here except mutual respect.
