This audio version of the book was narrated by Arthur's
brother Marty Segal, just prior to his passing in 2003. The recordings were
discovered shortly after Marty's death and have previously gone unheard.
This audio book, written by a man who lived his life in the closet for years,
talks in depth about his experiences and what he learned from them.
Set in New York during the gay liberation of the late 1960's and early 1970's.
Arthur had been associated with the Gay Activist Alliance. It explores personal
and social contexts relating to homosexuality whilst investigating his own
experience of coming to terms with it. This is an honest, personal and liberating
portrayal.
